BRUJAH
The Brujah of Baltimore, while a mixed bag, are politically different
from the norm. Many American members of the clan regard clan leader Sonia Strahl
as no different from the Ventrue. In spite of that, the other clans see the
Brujah stereotypically: uncouth, closet Anarchs.

Roleplaying Hints: Like your sire, you have a
powerful presence. Speak earnestly about your causes.
Background: Sonia was a student who became a
leader in the resistance. Her daring and courage caught the
eye of the prince of Luxembourg <See World of Darkness 2nd
ed.>, who Embraced her. Because advancement is so agonizingly
slow in Europe, she pounced on the opportunity presented by the invasion of
Baltimore. Risking her unlife as she had once risked her life was
worthwhile, for it gained her clan leadership in a
thriving city. Sonia may be Brujah, but she's European Brujah, and almost as
strict as a Ventrue when it comes to barring the
iconoclastic rabble the American Brujah have become. Her presence
strengthens the Consortium's ties to this very important port city.
Haven: Dutch Colonial house in a quiet part of
town.
Influence: Sonia spends much of her time prowling
the universities; most of her power is concentrated there.
What political maneuvering she has done is geared to the betterment of education
and learning in general. To this end she has helped
several city officials into council positions and DOE appointments.
That she fought the Sabbat to gain her position impresses the
iconoclasts of her clan; her connections to the Consortium
impress the idealists.

Blood Pool/Max per Turn: 11/1
Image: 5'4", light but muscular frame, very short, spiked
black hair, dark eyes (definite Hispanic cast).
Roleplaying Hints: You're one mean chica, and always itching to
prove the point. Your eyes light up
when you talk about your shotguns.
Background: The daughter of a cop, Lori always wanted
to follow in her father's footsteps. She knew she had to be twice as good as the men; she enjoyed the challenge. But
working twice as hard meant picking a few fights; as a result she got a reputation for a troublemaker. Her
luck ran out when she got caught crossing a rival gang's turf. Having at one time or another humiliated
a dozen of the members, she knew she didn't stand a chance. Still, she taunted them, dodging rocks,
fists, sticks chains and giving better than she got. The end was predictable; beaten down, Lori was brutalized,
then beaten some more and left for dead. Coughing up blood, nearly every organ major ruptured, she still
managed to drag her half-naked body over a hundred yards before collapsing. Her show of spunk won the
respect of another former gang member, "the Razor," who drowned her final breath with a
draught of blood. He helped her make her first kill -- on the gang leader who spit on her ruined body an hour before.
After running with her sire for a few years, she decided to try
something new. The Prince was getting tired of so many Brujah running around, and things were heating up for her
clan. Along the grapevine came word of an assault against a Sabbat territory. At last, some juicy
targets and (hopefully) a grateful prince. She wasn't disappointed. Now she's a small arms specialist with a group
closer than any gang. And the Prince, while stuffy, lets her do what she loves.
Haven: The Castle
Influence: Lori has police connections - with the DA's
help, she is credentialed as a special detective, answerable to "someone higher up." She knows most of the pawn
shop owners in town, and can get nearly any type of hand-held weapon, given time.

Blood Pool/Max per Turn: 12/1
Image: 6'8", heavily muscled with several scars.
Hair is close-cropped. Dark chocolate skin.
Roleplaying Hints: Keep your street face on, except
round your brothers in the Lions. Everybody learns to get real polite to you, "know
wa'im'sayn?"
Background: Because he was so tall, Jerome's street
name was "Rooftop", and the streets of Baltimore were Jerome's inheritance. He wanted more, though. His teachers thought
college was his future, and for a while he believed it, too. But the streets were greedy, they didn't
want anyone getting out. Despair dogged him, for he was sure he wouldn't live to see twenty-one. He was right.
Jerome were approached by some white guy who said he understood the young man. "If you had the power to clean up the streets, would you do it?" he asked. "Damn straight," Jerome replied. "How you figger that?" The man showed him.
His sire disappeared soon after the Jerome's Embrace, but by then he
knew what it was all about. He has the power to keep gangs in line, and his influence is spreading.
Drive-bys are almost nonexistent, and drug sales are dropping off. And this is only the beginning; Rooftop has all
the time in the world.
Haven: The Castle
Influence: Rooftop is slowly consolidating ties
between several gangs, with the hopes of curtailing gang violence and crippling the drug trade.

Image: 5'11", lanky, shoulder-length sandy-blonde
hair, blue eyes, angular features. Usually wears tattered jeans, and Goth t-shirts (and a flannel shirt when nobody's around, for
old time's sake).
Roleplaying Hints: You don't much care for authority.
You follow the Traditions, or at least you don't get caught breaking them.
Background: Mick was a scrapper and a slacker. He knew
the lyrics to all the grunge songs, and could tell you who the band members were sleeping with. He'd rail about the
establishment, but really it was just an excuse to rail. The death of Cobain dealt him a mortal blow. He stole
he dad's shotgun and went to the park to emulate his hero. Someone stopped him, and told him Cobain's
death was all about politics, something about bullfighters and adventurers, or something. Did Mick
want to help get even? Hell, yeah!
One night of education was all Mick got. His benefactor was going to
strike a blow against the high clans by creating an army of Brujah.
She was gone in the morning, but luckily
another Brujah found the neonate before he could really screw up. Now he hangs out in the clubs of
Baltimore; with the death of Grunge, he's been trying to learn to like Goth (pretentious bastards).
Haven: A grungy garage apartment (the older couple he
rents from don't ask questions; they "like" him).
Influence: None at the moment, although he's becoming
a fixture on the club scene.

Humanity: 8

Blood Pool/Max per Turn: 14/2
Image: 5'9", medium build, short hair, brown
eyes, white traceries of WP burn scars on his back and legs.
Roleplaying Hints: Calm, quiet, watchful. You know
what kind of damage you're capable of, and you do your best to keep your cool.
Background: Jeff believed all the early-war rhetoric
about Viet Nam, and joined the Marines in 1965. He had nearly completed his second tour when an errant mortar round
sprayed him with burning white phosphorous. His physical wounds were nothing beside his
mental scars.
He felt sick at the atrocities he had witnessed and perpetrated, the corruption and senselessness, and the betrayal he felt towards the government that sent young men to die so to prop up an oppressive regime.
During his convalescence in Japan, he learned about martial arts and eastern philosophy. Something within him knew that his anger might destroy his life without some sort of focus for his energies, he devoted himself to the study of the eastern ways.
He was living in San Francisco when some punks tried to have some fun with him. He fought defensively. Though he had ample opportunity to cripple the punks, he refrained, for it was his way to use only the minimum amount of force. This mercy was repaid by a bullet in the back. As the gang took off, a form emerged from the shadows. Lisa Lee was impressed by the young man's skill, but more by his restraint. She Embraced him and continued his training, teaching him about Golconda. Jeff aspires to that exalted state.
Jeff moved to Baltimore shortly after the invasion, and has since lived quietly, studying and teaching a handful of students. Jeff tries to avoid Kindred politics, and tries not to incur debts, for prestation can make you act against your beliefs. In spite of his wish to be anonymous, he has garnered some fame, both on the streets and in the dojos around town. In some neighborhoods the muggers flee at the sight of him.
Haven: Jeff's main haven is a studio apartment above
his dojo.
Influence: Very little, since he keeps a low profile.

Roleplaying Hints: Very strong sense of tradition and
honor, just looking for something to dedicate yourself to. You are a team player all the way, and you hope this
gung-ho attitude will make up for your ignorance.
Background: A member of JROTC who planned to join the
Marines as a career, his life was changed forever one Saturday night, when he and his friends were charmed and
then Embraced by a hot young woman calling herself Glory Belle. He kept his sanity by
focusing on helping the youngest of his coterie, Nikki. Then he found he had ended

with the older Kindred.
Background: A sweet girl who wanted to go into Drama,
Nikki took a while to adjust to being a bloodsucking creature of the night. She would starve herself until she
frenzied, then cry bloody tears over it afterwards. She spends her time hanging around the drama school and
going to cultural events. Nikki thinks the Toreador are cool, but they also intimidate her.

Roleplaying Hints: You don't know all that's going on,
and you don't know who to trust. Somenight you'll make a move, but until then
you'll just be quiet and learn the system. Marx and later revolutionaries were
right, so why can the rest of the people see that? You'll give in to directed
violence occasionally, seeing it as necessary, but balk at "innocent"
casualties.
Background: Well-read, idealistic and a little naive,
Lisa became president of a small socialist club at the university. She and the other officers were approached by a young woman
who said she could aid their cause immensely. The woman was a notorious Anarch, bent on the
overthrow of the Camarilla in Baltimore.
Lisa used her new-found powers to sway city officials into taking some curiously pro-labor stands, attracting the attention of the Kindred who lurked in the shadows. The anarch and her brood were eventually captured and destroyed, but with some quick advocacy on the part of fellow-Brujah Anne Marie Vaughn, the prince (who has a weakness for young women anyway) spared Lisa from the terminal fate awaiting her coterie.
Now Lisa, under the mentorship of her benefactor, is learning the system, hoping to use it to good advantage some day.
Haven: A small house in a lower middle-class
neighborhood.
Influence: Strong connections among college
socialists, some contacts in city government.
