Up Caern Sept Fiannalinks Faerie

Sept of Bridget's Blessing

The sept is almost exclusively Fianna, with a preponderance of Galliards. Those accepted into the sept must bring with them some art or craft, whether it be a musical skill, painting, metalwork, or a talent at lore. Because human politics is such a divisive force in the Fianna, Garou from politically-motivated camps are seldom welcomed. The most popular camps are (as you may expect) the Tuatha di Fionn and the Songkeepers (See Fianna Tribebook).

In time, Ian hopes the sept will grow in fame as a haven for lore and knowledge, and as a place which binds fae and Fianna closer together.

The sept scrupulously maintains their traditions. This includes observing all rites of the Fianna (including each full moon, the solstices and equinoxes, and especially the 4 high holy days). The theurges try to maintain cordial relations with the local spirits. Among other things, the elders hope to increase the power of caern and totem.

Students

Although they do their share of battling the Wyrm, the Sept of Bridget's Blessing is very much a place of learning. Arts of all kinds are taught here, from the epics and learning tales of the tribe to painting to smithing. Most students are Fianna, and almost all are Moon Dancers (Galliards); typically, there are two or three students at the sept at any given time.

Before being allowed to study with the sept, the Garou has to convince someone that she’s worthy. This isn’t an exceedingly difficult task; typically, interest and the barest promise of talent is all that’s required. Usually the aspirant offers some sort of gift(s) -- these could range from sweet mead or exceptional food, to blankets of fine woven wool, to minor fetishes. Once accepted, the student has to earn her keep. All students have to do caern duties, whether as guardians or helping the Keeper of the Land maintain the area. They must also provide food or money to keep themselves fed. Students can also expect to be sent out to gather tales or tunes for the sept.

Sept Offices

As mentioned before, the Sept of Bridget's Blessing takes the caern duties and traditions very seriously. Sept members fill as many of the traditional offices as possible, lest they forget part of their history. (Explanations of these offices can be found in Werewolf Player's Guide and Fianna Tribebook). Writeups for sept members can be found in the next section.
