The Bear Den includes photos and descriptions of all the bear species of the world (including North America) along with information about their biology, distributions, diets, reproduction, etc.

Black Bear Conservation Committee -- A collection of public and private agencies and interests promoting the   restoration of the Louisiana black bear. in its historic range, through education, research, and habitat management.  The site uses frames.

IBA --  The International Association for Bear Research and Management (IBA) is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the conservation of all species of bears. 

Craighead Environmental Research Institute  focuses on grizzly bear recovery.
